Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey. Its purpose is to understand staff views regarding Allianz's contribution to global warming, in particular via its investment in the Adani Ports company, which in 2020 became part of a new thermal coal mine development in Australia. It is anonymous and takes two minutes to complete. This survey is organised by Market Forces, an independent environment group that advocates for finance and investment to be directed away from activities that harm the environment and towards activities that protect and enhance it. 1. Did you know that Allianz has policies in place that restrict its underwriting and investment in some coal mining and coal burning projects and companies?*YesNo2. Were you aware that these coal restriction policies do not apply to Allianz's asset management companies - Allianz Global Investors and PIMCO?*YesNo One of the projects that Allianz would not insure or invest in is the controversial Adani Carmichael thermal coal project in Australia (90 major companies have so far ruled out any support for this project). Carmichael could become the biggest coal mine in Australia, and it would help open up a massive new thermal coal basin in an area that is currently not mined. One of the companies involved in this project is Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ). The biggest known bondholder in APSEZ is Allianz (via PIMCO), with over US$100 million invested. 3. Do you think that Allianz/PIMCO should divest its bonds in Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone due to its involvement with the Carmichael thermal coal project?*YesNoUnsure4. Do you think Allianz should apply its coal investment restrictions consistently across the entire group including its asset management subsidiaries?*YesNoUnsure5. Confirmation: I am an Allianz/PIMCO staff member*YesNo6. Any comments, questions or information you'd like to tell us?7.
