Rockwell Automation 64th company to rule out Adani

US-based multinational Rockwell Automation has become the 64th major company to rule out work on the climate-wrecking Adani Carmichael coal project.

In response to a letter from the Stop Adani Alliance sent on 13 February, Rockwell CEO Blake Moret wrote:

Rockwell Automation is not working with Adani on this project [Carmichael coal], and we will not be involved moving forward.

Rockwell Automation is a major supplier to the mining sector. To have a company like that rule out working on Carmichael coal shows that the project is toxic among a wide range of companies.

Other companies that provide similar services to Rockwell, which have yet to respond to the Stop Adani Alliance include (you can contact them via the links) Schneider Electric, Emerson Electric, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Honeywell, Omron and ABB.

As public concern over the climate crisis rapidly escalates, no company which values its reputation can justify working on a massive new coal mine. Fossil fuels are not only destructive for our air, water and climate, they are also destructive for the brands of any corporation associated with them.

See our full Adani List for those companies already working on the destructive Adani Carmichael project and those that have refused.
